When: Concert at 8:00 PM, meet at 7:30 PM outside Symphony Hall in the Galleria

Cost: $22/ticket with payment by check or cash in the exact amount on the night of the concert. Make checks payable to Paul Hinson. A symphony reservation is an irrevocable obligation by the member to pay for the reserved tickets. Electronic transfers and payments (Zelle, cash app, etc.) are NOT accepted.

Members will meet Paul Hinson in the Galleria/lobby of Symphony Hall at 7:30 PM the evening of the performance to exchange their checks for their tickets.

Event Details: Two wartime poets expressed disillusionment; two composers spun their poems into evocative musical scores. Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Principal Violist Zhenwei Shi stands in for Childe Harold in Berlioz's picturesque Harold in Italy. Robert Spano presents the "fearless" piano virtuoso Conrad Tao in Bernstein's plaintive and sassy symphony "The Age of Anxiety," inspired by W.H. Auden's Pulitzer Prize-winning poem.

Additional Information: Seats are truly great $55 seats, middle orchestra right, which are provided to us for $22 per seat through the ASO’s community ticketing program. When you register for an ASO event, a ticket is purchased in your name, and you are required to reimburse Paul Hinson for the $22/ticket cost of your ticket(s) the evening of the performance. Cash is accepted in the exact amount. Electronic transfers and payments (Zelle, cash app, etc.) are NOT accepted.

Registrations can be canceled ONLY 5 days or more before the event. (To cancel a reservation, go to your profile and select "My event registrations.") If due to unforeseen circumstances you are not able to use your ticket, you must still reimburse Paul for the purchase price of your tickets.

Parking: Free parking is available in the Ansley Park neighborhood along 15th street on weeknights—you’ll see neighborhood parking decal sticker requirements on parking signs but most of those signs will indicate that neighborhood stickers are not required weekday evenings before 10PM. However when parking in that area be advised that occasionally cars are ticketed right after 10PM in the neighborhood to the east of the Arts Center. Some members elect to continue to park there and take that risk. Paid parking is also available in the arts center garage, or in any of several other garages in the area such as the Promenade. Event Details: Mozart's Jupiter Symphony, the capstone of his symphonic journey, soars into the heavens, exuding such grandeur and cheery nobility that someone named it after the king of the gods. Russian violinist Alina Ibragimova turns her fiery bow on Mozart's "Turkish" Concerto, so named for the composer's take on Turkish melodies. "Ibragimova has technique to burn," wrote Audiophilia. Guest conductor Jörg Widmann offers a lively opener with his own composition Con brio, "with spirit."

Event Details: Join your fellow Atlanta Prime Timers for a few games of bowling the first & third Sundays of each month. We gather at Midtown Bowl at 12:00 noon for fun and socialization. Your skill level is unimportant. What is important is that everyone has fun!

Midtown Bowl charges an hourly rate of $40.00 per lane but we get the reduced league rate. So, we can all enjoy a cost-effective fun time bowling. The APT Host pays for the lane on his credit card, and you reimburse with cash or most electronic payment apps. Bowling shoe rental is now just $4.00 + tax and must be paid via a credit card.

Event Details: Nine-time Grammy Award® winner Gloria Estefan — whose music has sold over 100 million records worldwide — has shaped generations through song. Now, she joins her daughter and acclaimed singer-songwriter Emily Estefan, to co-write the music and lyrics for BASURA, a powerful and bold new musical inspired by the true story of Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra, where young artists turn scrap material into instruments and music into possibilities. This world premiere musical continues Estefan’s global legacy — proving that music can rise from anywhere and change everything.

What do you do when the world gives you nothing? You build something beautiful. In a community against all odds, an inspired music teacher starts an orchestra for the students, but they have no instruments. Empty paint cans, a fork, and a bent license plate become a violin, an oil drum transforms into a colorful cello, and the newly formed orchestra hits every note to the beat of something bigger. When the students' instruments become symbols of possibility, the sound is heard around the world.

BASURA is directed by the Broadway stage visionary Michael Greif (Rent, Dear Evan Hansen), and written by National Latino Playwriting Award-winner Karen Zacarías (Native Gardens, Destiny of Desire). Grammy Award® and Tony Award® winner Alex Lacamoire (Hamilton, In the Heights) is the musical supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger. Patricia Delgado (Buena Vista Social Club) will choreograph, and Ken Cerniglia (Hadestown, Newsies) rounds out the team as dramaturg.

Based on the award-winning documentary film Landfill Harmonic, the new musical carries the sound of Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra farther than anyone could have ever imagined. BASURA is an unforgettable journey of rhythm, resilience, and extraordinary music — a radiant, heart-swelling reminder that even in the most unlikely places, you can build something beautiful.
